In relation to the U.S. elections, one of my students asked me about the kind of result it would affect on the future of Israel and the world.

Its outcome can indeed influence our situation.

There is a major difference between the two candidates. Everyone should thus think about the side that they are on.

Every Jew who hears what both candidates have to say about what goes on in Israel should consider the extent by which they take it personally and wish to make a difference.

My student then asked what Jews should direct their prayers toward. I responded that they should pray for the elected president to be as close as possible to the heart of Israel.
