Are We Recycling Today Because We’re More Aware of Our Influence on Nature?

Our awareness of our influence on nature has not grown. We recycle more today because we make much more garbage. We thus have no choice. Otherwise, we would bury ourselves under the garbage we generate. So we reach a state — at least, in developed countries — where we conclude that we need to recycle this garbage in order to do less harm to ourselves and to the environment.

In order to truly grow our awareness of what it means to reach balance with nature, we need to feel that we live in a sphere where everyone is interdependent. By behaving positively toward other people — and also the still, vegetative, and animate nature — we then bring about the balance of the whole collective system, and it returns to us by granting us good health, peace, and everything we need to live harmonious and peaceful lives.
