Baal HaSulam: Bridging Ancient Wisdom with Modern Needs

Kabbalah is updated with each generation as new souls descend and need a suitable exposition. While Kabbalah itself does not change, since we change, we require an updated methodological guide to the universe. Every Kabbalist in his generation felt responsible for this and added something to Kabbalah.

A vast number of Kabbalistic books appeared over time, many unknown to us. Fortunately, all of Kabbalah has been compiled, analyzed and synthesized in the works of Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag (Baal HaSulam), so we do not need to get distracted by other sources.

Initially, I didn’t know about Baal HaSulam. No one told me about him. I went through many books and had a huge library, but now I rely only on our books. Though there are other recognized Kabbalists like Ramchal and AGRA, we practically need nothing beyond Baal HaSulam’s works.

After exploring other Kabbalistic books, especially RAMAK and more ancient ones, I realized their limitations. I am grateful I discovered Baal HaSulam and settled on him. To this day, I see him as our sole source.

We must also take care of those who come to us (at the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education & Research Institute) by helping them learn and adapt the works of Baal HaSulam.
