Do You Think We Can Have Peaceful Life in the Future without Any Wars?

In the book of the prophet Isaiah, there is a well-known phrase, “And they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:2–4).

While it sounds unrealistic to today’s ears, it is indeed a prophecy, and it will materialize. Prophets make no mistakes because they see the future as if it were the present.

This prophecy relates to a time of the revelation of the complete true picture of the universe, when everyone will know and perceive how the laws of nature control everyone and everything. It is a state that everyone will come to reach the understanding, feeling and vision of — a revelation.

This prophecy relates to a time of the revelation of the complete true picture of the universe, when everyone will know and perceive how the laws of nature control everyone and everything. It is a state that everyone will come to reach the understanding, feeling and vision of — a revelation.

We see in the phrase the very desirable-sounding state of a world without wars, i.e., “they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks.” Of course, in such a state, there will be no need to fight, and in the place of the engagements involved with fighting, there will instead be creative work. That is the meaning of using “pruning hooks” and making gardens in a state where we sustain peace with each other.

Moreover, this state of peace is not one that we currently define as peace, i.e., an agreement to have no wars or conflicts. Rather, it describes a state of peace in the fullest sense of the word, as “peace” in Hebrew (“𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑚”) means “wholeness” (“𝑆ℎ𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑢𝑡”); a state where the fulfillment that enters our lives is complete.

These are states that we will experience when we discover the laws of nature acting in our lives, out of our alignment with those very laws. We will reach such states when we wish for them. There will come a stage in human development when we will feel that we cannot continue our lives in detachment from the knowledge and feeling of nature’s true laws that govern us, and that their revelation in our lives is all that we lack.

There will come a stage in human development when we will feel that we cannot continue our lives in detachment from the knowledge and feeling of nature’s true laws that govern us, and that their revelation in our lives is all that we lack.

It is a state that we cannot yet imagine to ourselves because we still have no desire for it. As we head into the future, then the more we suffer, the readier we will become to wish for the revelation of the true laws of nature in our lives. However, it is possible to reach such a wish without a great accumulation of suffering. The more we implement connection-enriching learning in our lives, influencing each other with the need and the importance to positively connect to each other above our self-centered and divisive drives, then the more we set up the conditions to reach the required wish to align ourselves with the laws of nature — laws of complete interconnection and interdependence. It is my hope that we make strides in bringing ourselves closer to a desire to reveal nature’s true laws in our lives through connection-enriching learning, that we increase our awareness and consciousness of the reality we are in, and by doing so, alleviate the need for all kinds of blows to befall us toward our future peaceful states that the prophet Isaiah describes.
