Does Every Problem Have a Solution?

One of my students recently asked me this question in relation to the following quote:

“We call a situation hopeless when we don’t like the way out.”

— Jerzy Stanisław Lec

The author here states that there is always a solution, and we often fail to seek the solution because we do not like it.

I think that there are no hopeless situations, as he mentions, and that in principle, we always have solutions. What makes us view certain situations as hopeless? It is the human ego, i.e., our inborn desire to enjoy for self-benefit alone, which traps us within itself.

Understanding that our ego blocks us from finding solutions, then the universal solution to every problem is to rise above the ego and discover love. By reaching a state of love dwelling in our connections, then we will see a new harmonious and peaceful world reveal itself to us. In such a state, we will see how every problem has a solution.
