Is Humanity Eventually Going to Become United as One?

In ancient Babylon, Abraham led a group of people to realize the principle of uniting as one, which the Torah and other sources noted as the most important commandment, i.e., to love your neighbor as yourself.

It is a commandment for humanity to ultimately achieve, but at that time, not everyone could achieve it. Today, however, we are facing tough times ahead that call for a unifying solution to ever-increasing divisiveness and hatred.

Kabbalists have stated that today we exist in the state of the last generation, and we need to bring the unifying idea to life. Moreover, we have the means to do so. The same system that Abraham attained and taught some 4,000 years ago is becoming more and more readily available for humanity to put into use.

The essence of Abraham’s system is that we have to gather into a single whole through our thoughts and feelings rather than with our bodies. The corporeal world that we perceive with our five bodily senses has nothing to do with the attainment of “love your neighbor as yourself.” Of utmost importance is our aspiration that directs our coming closer to each other. By doing so, we will reach the sublime state of loving others as ourselves.

As soon as we reach the smallest level of such unity, we will then immediately start sensing a different nature of love and bestowal to the nature that we currently live in: a nature of reception.

We now live in a nature where we constantly desire to receive enjoyment, fulfillment and pleasure through our five corporeal senses. In addition to this inborn receptive nature, we will also start sensing the nature of love and bestowal through our connection to each other. To the extent that we can positively connect, we will experience a completely different universe, world and nature that is built on the quality of bestowal instead of the quality of reception.

We can consider our earthly nature as a “minus” because it is constantly attracting others negatively, while the nature of love and bestowal is a “plus.” The sensation of the positive nature is completely unlike what we see today. When we start sensing the lofty force of love and bestowal, then we will start experiencing life beyond the boundaries of time, space and motion, and states that are eternal and perfect. Reaching such states requires ascending above our current receptive nature.

If You Could Follow Any Leader, Who Would it Be, and Why?

Why do you need to follow someone? Follow yourself! Elevate your soul and fill it with its vitalizing light — the upper force of love and bestowal — so that it illuminates the path you tread, and progress accordingly.

You do not need to follow any person. There is a spark within you, a point that extends to the root of your soul, and that is the point you should follow until you attain connection with the upper force of love and bestowal, which in Kabbalah we call “the Creator.”

In short, follow the Creator. He is your leader. It does not matter that people are usually inclined to follow a certain leader with a charismatic personality. I trust that it is everybody’s mission to ultimately arrange themselves with the Creator as their leader, and to seek connection with Him.
