What Is an Example of a Miracle?

An example of a miracle takes place when people who are naturally distant from one another, who reject, oppose, and even hate each other, rise above their differences. Despite how they feel and how they might treat each other, they choose to connect. As it is written, “Love covers all crimes.” This is no easy process. It is a struggle against our egoistic nature, the desire to enjoy for self-benefit alone. But when we make such an effort, we draw the positive force of connection that dwells in nature to help us make that ascent.

In the very darkness that once filled our lives and our relations, we start sensing a new illumination. That is the miracle: the same reality, which once seemed bleak and hopeless, starts to shine with light.

Where is our personal miracle in this picture? It is precisely in this transformation, in the moment when we feel our lives starting to brighten, when the weight of negativity is lifted.

A miracle also takes place when we treat others with kindness above our egoistic nature. When we act in ways that resemble the positive force of connection that dwells in nature, i.e., when we aim to love, care, and positively connect with others, we draw nature’s positive connecting force upon us. The more we align with it, the more we experience its harmonious influence.

But what if the miracle we seek is for our lives to improve, for instance, at work or in our families? We will see how everything begins to work out, not because we control it directly, but because by changing our inner state, by making moves in a direction of positively connecting with others, we invite nature’s positive force of connection into our lives.

So what must we do to experience miracles in our personal lives? We cannot achieve miracles in isolation, for instance, within a single family, expecting immediate results. But if we collectively decide that we have had enough of social division and hatred, and that we aim to treat each other well, we will immediately sense a shift. The world itself will start changing.

Nature itself brings about such miracles. Right now, we feel it as darkness because we are opposite to it. Nature’s source force, before and beyond all of the physical forces we perceive, is one of love, bestowal, and connection. Such a force brings us a common sense of happiness and abundance when we equalize with it. We lack such a quality in our egoistic human nature. But if we rise above our instinctive rejection of one another and make moves to connect, to act with a sense of responsibility, goodness, and consideration, then we will gradually feel nature’s positive force entering our lives. It will bring us happiness, confidence, and abundance. That is what a miracle is: our transformation to reach the right kind of “click” between us, and the revelation of the positive force of connection that dwells in nature, filling the space between us.
