What Steps Must Israel Take if They Really Ever Want Peace With Their Neighbors?

We need to understand that, on one hand, we need to reach a state of peace and mutual understanding with our neighbors, and that we are ready for doing so. However, on the other hand, we need to always consider our security and not give them the opportunity to capture and conquer us.

That is the psychology of our neighbors, and there is nothing difficult to figure out here. Whoever they are, if they are our neighbors — and especially our neighbors — then they are always against us, and we need to show them strength together with our readiness for peace and communication.

These two states are indeed possible, i.e., to show strength and to be ready for peace. We can see that all the money, gas and other seeming favors we have provided for them does nothing to benefit anyone. Only strength benefits here. Within such strength, that is, as part and parcel of the attribute of this strength, we need to simultaneously hold an inner attitude of loving our neighbors as ourselves, feeling a readiness to show them love, as well as a readiness to stand up for ourselves.
