Will Global Interdependence Lead to More or Less Conflict in the Future?

Increasing global interdependence is a key outcome of our evolution into an integral system, which is round like a ball.

Our growing global interdependence will increasingly show us that if we fail to upgrade our relationships from egoistic to altruistic, then we will experience our interdependence akin to a tightening chokehold. Mutual responsibility around the globe will become more and more of a survival necessity the more interdependent we become.

In the meantime, however, we continue playing power games, delving into wars and conflicts, but we see that such an approach is outdated and does not work in our world anymore. It merely adds pain and hardship to our lives — lives that could otherwise be very pleasant, harmonious, happy, and peaceful.

It is my hope that we will soon shift our egoistic paradigm — where each wishes to self-benefit at the expense of others — to an altruistic one — where we will increasingly seek to extend care and kindness to others, and by doing so, find how our growing global interdependence is here to lead us to more and more harmony and bliss.
